Game Design

You will be making an Multi-Player Game using Scratch.  Scratch is a free to download program that has many feature outside of game design.

To Start
You will watch some 'How To' Videos for the first class or so.  These will help you learn the basics of what Scratch can do. **Feel free to go home and watch as many YouTube videos that you can to learn as much as you can so you can make the most A-Mazing game possible.**

Your Task
You are going to make a multi-player game where each level is harder than the last.  Your game needs to have the following:
- a title
- the instructions
- a story - everything must work together - the character(s), the title, the entire concept of the game
- minimum of 2 players
- they can battle each other or to acquire points
- there needs to be an Ending - I need to know when the game is done - win or loose

*If you would like to create a game that is not a multi-player style game, please talk to Mr. Bonnici about it.  There is a good chance you will be able to make it as long as it is well thought out and you are willing to put the time into learning how to do it.*

When Done
You will be loading your game onto the Scratch website at http://scratch.mit.edu/users/GeorgeWatersMS  This way everyone and anyone can play your game.

  5. -You should watch some tutorials first on how to make a game design, instead of just starting ahead without knowing anything about it, it will just waste your time.
-You should use your time wisely.
-You should plan your game first, on what is it about.
-You should put a background music to make your game more enjoyable. You should not upload a background music that is very long because it will make your game too big.
-If you want to put music you should follow this formula.
(import the music first) then go to the very first background of your game then scripts then

    Formula:
    <(When the green flag clicked)-(Forever)-(repeat)-(play sound((the background music))>

-Always save your work because sometimes scratch quit unexpectedly.
-If you want to know more, there are also some tutorials in youtube which can help you.
