Photography

Anyone can take a camera and take a picture. Sometimes these pictures turn out nice. . . but can you take a good picture and know what makes it a good picture? Do you know how to adjust your camera to take a better picture? You are going to learn various photography techniques and now to use the different settings on a point and shoot camera and a DSLR camera.

Your Task
You are going to take LOTS of pictures. Edit some of the images. Create a portfolio and then load your best images onto Flickr.com.

Composition and Technique
Learn what the following mean and take pictures (4 or more) that demonstrate them:
*keep track of what these mean somewhere - Word, Stickie, Keynote, etc.*

Go to the second page of videos and watch the following:

Using a DSLR
Learn what the following mean/do. When you find out call Mr. Bonnici over and he will show you how to set them on the Canon and Nikon.

ISO
Aperture
Shutter Speed

Funky Images

You are going to take two different types of images using the DSLR images.  Mr. Bonnici will show you how to take these when you get to this point.

When Done

You will post your images onto our blog.  Each two images that meet the rules of composition will constitute a new post. The title of the post will be the composition rule that the pictures are of.  You will also have to reflect on each of your posts by answering the following questions:
- How did these images meet that composition rule?
- How you would change the image next time?
- Why do you like the image?

  10. One problem I had was finding a symmetry picture so if you need help with i suggest looking it up. Also it would also help to ask Mr. Bonnici to help you figure some of the settings on the camera.

  11. Make sure you start the first day and try and get the first part done as soon as you can, that way you can have more time to take all your pictures and have time to edit. My partner and I started late so we didn't get our work done so yeah get started the first day and stay on task.
