Your StoryBoard
Your storyboard is an outline of all the scenes that you are taping.  You should use a variety of camera angles.  Different camera angles are used for different things: example - Close Up's are used to show expression and a long shot show location and action.

Here is a useful website. It explains the different types of shots.

You should storyboard your video before you start taping.  It will allow you and your partner to know what your are taping, who needs to bring what, and all that needs to be done to finish this film.

Here is a useful link.  It will show you about storyboarding.

You can get a blank storyboard from Mr. Bonnici.

Preproduction
Before you start filming you need to make sure that you have done the following:
1. PRACTICED!
2. Brought in all costumes and have all your props ready to go
3. If you are planning on filming in a certain room - gym, empty classroom, etc. - you must have permission to be in those rooms from the teacher.

Filming
It is now time to film. Your hall pass out of the classroom will be your storyboard and Mr. Bonnici's signature on it.  This means that you have gone through it with him and you are ready to go.

**you are only making a 45 second - 1 minute long film, you do not need to be filming for more than 20 minutes.  Make sure you are ready to film when you leave the room.**

Strategies for good taping:
1. Speak clearly and loud enough to be heard on the camera.  Watch your clips to make sure you are doing this before you move onto  the next shot.
2. Film your scene twice . . .just to be sure you get it right.
3. Don't have your back to the camera while you are talking.  It wont hear you.
4. Have fun!!
5. Follow your storyboard.

Editing
Load your video into iMovie and make your advertisement.
Do not end your advertisement with "The End!"
When you are done we will be loading your video onto YouTube.
Make sure you do not use any copyright music.

Reflection
Once you are done you will reflect on your learning by leaving a comment on this blog.
**More information to come.**

  3. make sure you have permission to film any where, instead of asking during class time because it takes away the time that you could use to be working. make sure you have a script written down before you do anything.

  4. Try and finish the script within 2 days, and then get right to filming. You should also come at lunch if you need to do voice-overs, because its a bit quieter.

  5. When filming don't walk away from the camera. It's hard to cut out and if your walking out of the frame and talking, you'll cut a part of it and you might cut your lines off. Also, don't say your lines right when the camera starts to record. Wait a few seconds and then say it. Because sometimes it can cut off.
